Plastics, Reconstructive & Cosmetic Surgeon

Dr Arthur Yang is a New Zealand trained Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon and a graduate of the Otago University Medical School. He completed a dedicated Cleft Lip and Palate Fellowship in Birmingham, UK, followed by advanced international training in rhinoplasty in Europe and Asian cosmetic surgery in South Korea.
From 2017 to 2025, Arthur served as Clinical Lead for the Midland Cleft Centre in Waikato, as well as Clinical Director of Plastic Surgery and Supervisor of Plastic Surgery Training for the Waikato region. He is a Board Member of the New Zealand Association of Plastic Surgeons and a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Waikato Hospital.
In 2025, Arthur was invited to join the Auckland Regional Cleft Unit at Middlemore Hospital, New Zealand’s largest cleft centre, extending his cleft care to a broader patient population. He also holds memberships with the Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (international member) and the Australasian Cleft Lip and Palate Association.
Arthur’s practice encompasses a comprehensive range of reconstructive and cosmetic procedures, including rhinoplasty, Asian and Caucasian eyelid surgery, facial rejuvenation, body contouring and skin cancer surgery. He is known for his attentive, patient centred approach and his focus on natural, safe outcomes.
Arthur is multilingual and speaks English and Mandarin Chinese.
